The weeks before a potential Overwatchnew hero launch are always an enjoyable time for theorizing. Following the most recent teaser of a string of some posters in an dirty-looking street, imaginative speculation, theorycrafting and headcanon are running rife in the neighborhood once more as to that Overwatch Hero 28 could be.
New hero releases have followed a pattern so far of alternating between"fan-favourite/requested" and surprises. We might be due a surprise following the fan-favorite release of Brigitte, so naturally there are some pretty interesting theories doing the rounds. Here's my video roundup of some of the very popular (and some very imaginative ) theories. Two characters introduced into the Overwatch world last year with brand new map releases are leading the speculation polls. Given the prominence of Horizon posters and primates in the center of the teaser; Hammond, the mysterious"smaller topic" introduced in Horizon Lunar Colony's launch last year, is a fan-favorite for Hero 28, or at least being involved in their story. Hammond might have escaped the Lunar Colony by grabbing a tow on Winston's escape pod, as new map particulars from the upcoming map rework suggest. Two Junkertown posters also possibly decorate the walls. One on the right of the picture looks like an obscured"Scrapyard" - the last area of Junkertown known for its mech battles. Speaking of that, the exact darkened left-hand side of this wall retains a poster of"Wrecking Ball" - a Junkertown Mech fighter who's also featured on the walls of Junkertown's wrestling map. The Junkertown Queen, also an ex-Scrapyard fighter, went down a storm with all an Overwatch community if her likeness was included on the map, and could be a popular pick for a new hero. One last popular theory right now sees the posters as a deadline, with each showing a bit of a"storm" of upcoming content. Together with the reveal speed of recent Overwatch new hero releases, we should not have long to wait! There will most likely be another, more special one this week sooner or later.

The calm before the storm is nearly over, and we've got another teaser for what appears to be our second hero. This next hero will be the 28th character to join Overwatch's roster, and there are plenty of possibilities as to who it could be. The second teaser has a little more obvious.
That's right--a giant ball comes rolling through the King's Row alleyway. This might be the new hero's ultimate ability. That said, in the bizarre world of Overwatch, it might be the new hero. We could be taking a look at an omnic, or even a mech that's piloted remotely. The ball might be the hero's weapon, or it might be the hero... or it could be something that we haven't figured out completely yet. Blizzard will love to throw a few curve balls with their hero effort. The anti-omnic and Horizon imagery remains prominent in the background, so these may be very relevant hints in our second hero. Hammond or even the Queen of Junkertown may be gracing the Overwatch PTR any day now... or we could be seeing an entirely new face. 1/23/2019 0 Comments updated symmetra in OverwatchThe brand new Symmetra is still live, changing her from a support to a damage hero. (There's also a new"damage" class that replaces"attack" and"defense," merging all of the offensive heroes into one wide group.) Horizon, one of the game's most controversial maps, is also getting a sweeping upgrade. Add in new societal features and a few balance changes, and Patch 1.25 intends to upgrade your Overwatch encounter (and set the stage for a new hero and potentially a new meta).

Blizzard EntertainmentUPDATES The Symmetra rework is now live. The new Symmetra could potentially change the whole meta game and bring the Vishkar architect to pro play. But i doubt that she will be used as a boosting champions in overwatch account boosting. Horizon Lunar Colony was overhauled for balance. There's more pay objective points, resulting in less possible for the attackers to steam roster (and giving the zero gravity path somewhat more use), and better scenery. 11/24/2018 0 Comments Wrecking Ball's arsenalIt feels as though we've been awaiting Hammond -- seemingly now called Wrecking Ball -- to strike Overwatchfor ages today. But the wait is now over, as hero 28 has formally been disclosed. It is amazing that Hammond is a person who likes to roll around and blow things up in a giant mech, but what we all really care about is what his kit looks like.
Here's the complete list of Hammond's abilities and what they do. QUAD CANNONS Hammond flames his automatic machine guns as his primary flame. ROLL Hammond rolls up into a ball, raising his movement speed and freedom. GRAPPLING CLAW Hammond instantly transforms into his Roll mode and shoots out a grappling hook. If it strikes a surface above him, he will suspend himself and gain a full range of movement in his suspended state. He can then swing himself back and forth, gaining momentum. As he gains speed, he is going to have the ability to knock back and hurt enemies he collides with. ADAPTIVE SHIELD Hammond produces a private shield around himself. The shield sum is raised by how many enemies are nearby. PILEDRIVER When Hammond is a certain distance over the floor, he could slam himself quickly into the earth below. This may damage and knock-up any enemies struck. MINEFIELD For his ultimate, Hammond will scatter mines around himdenying the place for any eager to invade enemies. 10/17/2018 0 Comments Hammond is NEAR: Overwatch PTR patchThe Overwatch PTR has upgraded, and this update is extremely hot. To start with, after a lot of teasers, Hero 28 is finally here! He's a new tank which focuses on highly portable and tumultuous play with an extremely chaotic design.
Wrecking Ball's tinkering capabilities and iron-clad mech make him a formidable tank hero, capable of bowling through the front line of the resistance and causing mayhem at the rear line. His principal weapon, Quad Cannons, are just two sets of twin machine guns that shred enemies caught within their crosshairs. No staff is too much for Wrecking Ball to participate against with his Adaptive Shield, which generates more health based on the amount of enemies near. This protector makes him incredibly tough to kill if he bulldozes to the fray and, after he begins to get low on health, additionally provides him the endurance to escape. No barrier can stand at Wrecking Ball's way when he uses Grappling Claw, a short-range ability that grips the environment, allowing him swing over terrain gaps or round corners to crush enemies. Grappling Claw also enables Wrecking Ball to achieve top speed and ram into foes, coping damaging harm and knocking them back. While airborne, the mech's Piledriver ability causes Wrecking Ball to slam down in the air and knock his enemies off their feet. When Wrecking Ball is at his most powerful, he can use Minefield that flings mines on the ground that deal a considerable amount of damage to enemies unfortunate enough to activate them. This is not a significant change--especially compared to a new enthusiast, but it should normalize damage throughout the board and make various ranged heroes feel more consistent. It also ought to make poking a bit more viable, which is always nice, especially with a brand new tank on the spectacle. The Overwatch PTR is, of course, a test realm, so all content on it's subject to change before hitting live servers. |
